The Portland Thorns home jersey features a rose design across the front and back as homage to Portland’s nickname, Rose City. The seasonal creative direction portrays "the dark rose" which is symbolic of the death of an enemy. The away kit is covered in a white and grey abstract thorns print that resembles its seasonal narrative “The Untamed Thorn”.

 

Adorning the side tape throughout the collection reads PTFC (Portland Thorns Football Club) with subtle thorn serifs, and the inner pride reads “BAON”—By Any Other Name, which is an acronym coined by its supporters, The Rose City Riveteers, and derives from the Shakespearean quote “A rose by any other name would smell as sweet”.
